About Us

Jim Finnie started his own garage in Peterhead as Finnie Motors in 1975 at Scotts Garage, Queen Street then as the business expanded moved to 36 Ugie Street. The servicing and repair garage was sold, and in 1989 Jim started specialising in supplying 4x4 vehicles as Finnie 4x4. Jim now runs the business with wife Pat and son Craig at Sandford Business Park, Peterhead, AB42 3FX.
We offer vehicles from all the main 4x4 manufacturers but as we have no franchise ties to any one manufacturer we can offer impartial advice to find what really suits your needs.
We are open 6 days a week. Monday - Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 10am - 4pm. Salesmen are available on Sunday and out of hours by appointment only.
Warranty and finance services are available on all vehicles and delivery can be arranged nationwide and internationally.
As you browse the site you will see that Finnie 4x4 can offer a lot more than 4x4 vehicles. We are involved in property delevopment and letting, self storage, storage container sales/hire and a small farming enterprise with our fold of pedigree Highland cattle. If you have ;a requirement in any of these areas, please get in touch.

Highland Cattle

Pedigree Highland Cattle

In 2004, we started to integrate a small farming enterprise with our vehicle business by starting the Richmondhill Fold of Pedigree Highland Cattle. It started with a deal at the Royal Highland Show where we took 2 pedigree Highland heifers as a part exchange in the sale of a Nissan Navara King Cab!

Our fold now consists of around 40 Highland cows plus their followers and we also have homebred Shorthorn cross cows sired by our late Beef Shorthorn Bull, Ballinney Emblem. We use 3 Highland bulls, Rod of Richmondhill, Jake of Richmondhill & Archie of Glengoyne and we also cross some with our Simmental Bull, Islavale Jason 18. We enjoy showing at some of the agricultural shows and the beef we produce is second to none.

We often have good breeding stock for sale, if you would like to start your own pedigree fold and visitors are always welcome.

You never know what you might go home with if you come here to buy a truck!
